Another 1/2 pound gone this week – yeah! I’m now at 147.7 pounds, more than 30 pounds total lost since I started last April!!!
I’m heading into the dreaded “last 10 pounds” territory though, and recognize that while these next few months are not necessarily going to be a struggle, they are going to be a few months, not weeks. I feel like I’ve gotten into a very good groove lately with my walking and with tracking my eating however, so hopefully I’ll continue on this downward trend at a decent pace.
Speaking of the walking, I’ve bumped it up to 105 minutes a day and plan to add an additional 15 minutes in February, giving me a two-hour walk every day. It sounds like an awful lot of walking, but besides making a real difference in my weight loss, I’m now committed to that half-marathon in October, which will most likely take more than three hours to finish.
Yesterday evening was my last WW meeting for a while; I’m on my own using the online tools for the next few months so we can continue to knock out this debt. If I find myself slipping though I’ll head right back to the meetings.
Yeah you!! Excellent work. 30 lbs is a huge accomplishment.
Actually, I’ve lost 32 pounds! It has taken a l-o-n-g time though this time around. I used to drop weight so quickly, but those day are long gone. Now I just have to keep it off!
32 is even better. And you will keep it off. This is now a lifestyle change, You got this!!
Good for you, long term sustained weight loss is hard. I wish I was there with you to walk, we could have such fun.
Oh Kim, I’d love to walk with you as well. And I agree, keeping it off is the truly hard part of weight loss. Losing it this time has been so much more difficult, but maybe it’s the motivation I need to not put it back on again!
What a great milestone!
Thanks, Juhli! Now it’s on to 40 pounds gone, which is going to take me a bit longer. The last few pounds to go are always the ones that don’t want to go!
