I love this idea, of keeping a booklist. And I love seeing what you are reading!
I hope you liked A Small Death in the Great Glen. I’m always nervous when I recommend a book that the person will enjoy it.
I LOVED it! I am looking forward to reading her other book, but it seems to be very popular right now with a long waiting list!
I’m so glad!
If you are looking for suggestions, I just finished a book called Still Alice which I highly recommend. It’s not a mystery, but it’s an incredibly powerful story, one that definitely worked to remind me of what is important in life.
I’ve got Still Alice on my list! Right now I am reading through a stack of four books that arrived off the reserve list at the same time so it may take me a few weeks, but I’ll get to it.
Would you consider joining the Amazon Affiliates program, and make those book links clickable? I have really enjoyed reading your blog over the past 2 years, and I truly admire how you handle your household and family. It would be nice to contribute to your blog in some way. If you had links clickable to Amazon, I would do all my purchasing through your book links. Not sure if you knew this, but once someone clicks on your Amazon link, anything they buy while on Amazon — not just the book — are attributed to you. I think you get something like 4% of sales. It’s free to join the program, literally tens of thousands of people are part of the Amazon program.
I have been having a big debate with myself this year over monetizing this blog. There are pros and cons for both sides. Right now I cannot link up with any affiliates, so I would have to spring for my own domain, but I may do that anyway. Amazon is one business I would consider hooking up with (even though I don’t buy books through them). Thanks for giving me some more food for thought!
I love Peter Robinson’s books ~ they’re set not too far from where I grew up. Hope you enjoy them! There was. TV series here in the UK last year based on the first few books.
K xx
The two I’ve read have both been a treat, and I have another couple tucked away for later. He’s written several, so thankfully I have a few months more to enjoy his writing. One of these days I’m going to have to actually get over to the UK just to check out the settings for all these books I’ve read and enjoyed. We watched a special once on the Inspector Morse series, and the author said one reason he quit was because Oxford had turned into “the murder capital of the Western world.” Same for some of these other places, I guess.
I’m going to check and see if I can find DVDs of the TV series. I have been able to find a couple of series that were for British TV, so may have some luck with these.
Wiw! Great list.I’ve read the same book four times this year. Way to go!
I sort of “rediscovered” reading again this year, at least so far and am really enjoying it (although I’ve always been a reader). And I have a few books that I’ve read more than a few times too.
